Jack McGrath signs his first professional contract

Villa u18s attacking midfielder Jack McGrath has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Jack featured in Villa's 2024-25 FA Youth Cup victory scoring in the 4-0 victory over Newcastle and this season has made his EFL Trophy debut.

Academy Manager Mark Harrison:

“We are delighted Jack has signed his first professional contract which is thoroughly deserved and a recognition of his potential.

“Jack is a creative, attack-minded midfielder with very good ball management skills and a good eye for goal.

“He was part of the successful Under-18s team last season even though he was still an Under-16 schoolboy. He is also a local lad who is a massive Aston Villa fan, therefore this is a very proud moment for him and all his family.

“We look forward to seeing how Jack develops over the coming years.”
