Villa suffer a harsh, harsh defeat at the hands of a hugely fortunate Arsenal side as Richard Beale’s team, packed with inexperience, concede a first-half penalty after debutant Lennon Moss is adjudged to have fouled Arsenal’s Zecevic John, are reduced to ten before the hour mark as debutant Vincley Mudame is sent off for fouling the same player, Josh Blake equalises on his first start, but then Villa are robbed of a point in injury-time as Angelinou Pedro scores in the 93rd minute.
